This gorgeous old-world feeling ring features a large garnet (8-12mm). Since this is a *made to order* item no two rings are exactly the same as no two gems are exactly the same. Garnet is an entrancing stone and I think there's not a single chance that the wearer will ever tire of studying it in the light.
Alongside this stunning stone are four salt and pepper diamonds tapering up in size set in a hand cut bead and bright setting style on each side the center stone. The total weight in diamonds is around .17 carats.
The shank is hand-fabricated in 14kt certified recycled content white gold. The premade head features scroll work and a floral motif. It's easy to imagine this ring on the finger of some historic noblewoman 200+ years ago. I never do any plating of any of my work so the color of the metal is the color it is. This white gold has a very fine slightly buttery lustre that I find preferable to the cold gleam of rhodium not to mention the health & environmental risks of rhodium plating.
